In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Austin Young Lawyers Association will coordinate its 13th annual Day of Service project on Monday, January 16, 2023. This local project is modeled after the national Martin Luther King Day of Service, which is intended to transform Dr. King’s life and teachings into community service that helps solve social problems.

AYLA invites you to sign up for one or more of the events available for the Day of Service. We have several options to volunteer in person, drop off donations at Hilgers, or support local nonprofits from home. There are also options for children to help at some volunteer locations. In addition, please encourage family and friends to volunteer with you.

"Twas' the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The Austin Bar was empty! For how long you say? Indeed, just for the holiday. From December 26th through the 30th, the doors will be closed, please don't confuse this with being deposed. From the top of the porch to the top of the wall, no one will be there to answer your call. Staff will be back, have no fear or fright! Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night!"

The Austin Bar Association is closed from December 26 through 30th for the holiday season.
