GENERAL LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LAW SECTION INFORMATION
The Austin Bar Association Labor & Employment Law section has members that include plaintiff and defense labor and employment law attorneys, in-house counsel, public sector/government attorneys, and mediators and arbitrators with experience in labor and employment law. The section provides informative and topical seminars for CLE credit through monthly lunch meetings. The L&E section also offers an annual half-day CLE, holiday luncheon, and spring happy hour, as well as other networking and educational opportunities.
2025-26 MEETING AND CLE
The Board hosts a monthly lunch CLE, which is generally held on the first Wednesday of each month. The fee to attend the CLE is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers. This funds the L&E section’s costs for venue rentals and food. But the main benefit is the quality CLE provided that is focused on trending labor and employment law issues, as well as the networking opportunity for our members.
The December holiday social is our most festive event, and it is a great way to meet other local labor and employment lawyers in a relaxed setting.
The final CLE in our program year is a half-day CLE and the annual L&E section meeting and elections. This is immediately followed by a social networking hour.
