Currently serving as a partner at Botkin Chiarello Calaf, María Amelia's notable background includes handling constitutional challenges, administrative tribunal cases, and Texas Public Information Act (PIA) requests during her tenure as the Manager for Complex Litigation for the Attorney General of Texas. Her achievements have earned her recognition as a Super Lawyer and one of Austin's Top Attorneys, while her commitment to diversity and inclusion led to her designation as a Diversity and Inclusion Champion by Texas Lawyer. She remains actively involved in advancing Latina lawyers through her roles in the Latina Commission for the Hispanic National Bar Association and as the founder of the Austin chapter of Cafecitos.
