The Austin Bar Association Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is hosting a book club discussing the book Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love, and Liberation. The meeting will be on April 13 at 12:00 at Hilgers House. Judge Denise Hernandez will lead the discussion on the question by the authors, Rev. Angel Kyodo Williams, Lama Rod Owens, of how teachings that transcend color, class, and caste are hindered by discrimination and the dynamics of power, shame, and ignorance.
