Join AYLA for an evening of service, answering questions together for Texas Free Legal Answers, a virtual legal advice clinic. Texas Free Legal Answers is a joint project between the American Bar Association and Texas Legal Services Center, where income-verified clients receive advice and counsel about a specific civil legal issue from a volunteer lawyer. The website increases access to advice and information about civil legal matters for those who cannot afford a lawyer. AYLA members and volunteers will team up to answer legal questions together; attendees must bring their personal computer and register to be a volunteer with Texas Legal Answers. Food and some beverages will be provided. Information for volunteers, including sample answers, can be found in this Google Drive link.
