For this month’s focus on Disability Rights, we are excited to spotlight a wonderful disability rights advocate in Kiah N.B. DeBolt. Kiah graduated with her B.S. in Geography-Resource and Environmental Studies from Texas State University in 2015 and obtained her JD from UT School of Law in 2019. During law school, Kiah participated in various pro bono projects through the Mithoff Pro Bono Program, as both a participant and project coordinator. Following law school, Kiah was a 4Girls Foundation Legal Fellow at the SAFE Alliance in Austin. There she represented survivors of family and domestic violence.

Kiah joined Disability Rights Texas (DRTx) as an attorney on the Housing and Transportation team in March 2022. In this role, she most often assists Texans with disabilities who need reasonable accommodations to housing policies, reasonable modifications to the structure of their home, and assistance following discrimination in their housing choice. Thank you, Kiah, for your dedication to vulnerable Texans in our disabled community who need you the most!
